Writer's workshop--I don't have much creative talent

Choose a prompt, post it on your blog, go to Mama Kat's and sign Mr. Linky. Be sure to sign up with the actual post URL and not just your basic blog URL (click on the title of your post for that URL). For good comment karma try to comment on the three blogs above your name!!

The Prompts:

1.) If You Give A Mom A Moment...well I haven't really read those books so I can't be all cute and witty with this one. But if I had a moment....a LONG moment, I would finish book four of the Twilight series.

2.) What's the message you would craft?

3.) Your Fall favorites. Fall is NOT my favorite season, that would be Spring. But as I told a friend yesterday I do have reasons to look forward to this season.

October brings our Fall Festival party.

Then November is my birthday and Thanksgiving.

After that is a whole month of Christmas activities. Oh how I LOVE Christmas.

January brings two birthdays and a birth.

So I can hang with Fall, this year!

Notice that I left out the season opener of Survivor. I STILL can't get it!

4.) If your pet could talk, what would you want to know? Why do you eat your own poop?

5.)If you could only focus on three things in life and pursue them fully, leaving everything else, what would they be and why?
I don't think I would shift my focus that much. I AM doing exactly what I want to be doing. I'm following God and trying to be more like Jesus. I try to serve my husband and be his helpmeet. And I struggle every day to be a better mom. God, husband, children is my focus!

------------------------------------------------------------

What's the message you would craft?

I am not much of a crafter. My twelve year old makes these marvelous crafts out of practically nothing, all the time. I do not have an eye for that...I can't even decorate my living room, for Pete's sake. (Pete gave me permission to use his name for this blog post.)

Part of my message to the world is my blog. It is a craft to me. I like designing it...well okay, so I don't EXACTLY do the designing but I pick out what I like. And then I put lots of pictures.

But I do like to scrapbook. My message in scrapbooking is to show love to my family.

When I'm at my desk (once in the last year) I try to bring out their best and to demonstrate my love for them with my words and scenes and pictures. I know they all enjoy looking at their scrapbooks. SO I hope it expresses my love.

Here is little, tiny Millicent. And before you ask (though you are probably way to polite to ask) why she looks like an alien, I'll tell you. That was when she wasn't getting enough milk from me and I didn't know it. So yes, I was starving her...you made me say it.

Here is a page from mine and Jeff's book. Every year I do a movie page. You can see that some years we don't get to the movies much.

Here is Asa. One of my favorite pages. You only wish you could scrapbook like me. Just kidding...really.

So did I even answer the question? Or like usual, did I just ramble on about something that had nothing to do with the question.

What about you? What kind of crafts do you do? Will you send me a sample of your work? You know, just so I can see it, not so I can have free stuff.

Beautiful pictures, even the alien one of Millicent!

I agree too, my blog (and writing) is my craft. That's the only crafty bone I have in my body!

yet another reason Jeff needs to transfer your family to socal.
We can scrapbook together, and then blog about it
I keep printing pictures I want to scrapbook. and have done none of them.
Good golly, the last time I really scrapped was at the end of my pregnancy with Kevin. I haven't even glued in the pictures into the predone book for him my mom & sis bought me.
Nice way to get me down on myself, Michelle. Thanks.
And you dont even live close enough for a hug : (

We STILL need to get together and scrapbook all night or something like that. I am soooo woefully behind. I am an addict scrapper, but have fallen off the wagon. Oh woe is me!!
