Writer's workshop--An ode to Millicent

I just want to start by saying that I'm still very pregnant. I'm reading all the wonderful comments. But I just don't have the energy right now to respond or visit blogs. Thank you for thinking of me though. I will post when I'm in labor and after I've had the baby. You know I'll want to brag on my little Apple Dumplin'.

If anyone can tell me how to make my Amazon box (over there on the left) smaller, please do. My old one was just fine, but this new one????? Who knows what I'm doing wrong????

----------------------------------------------------------

Choose a prompt, post it on your blog, go to Mama Kat's and sign Mr. Linky. Be sure to sign up with the actual post URL and not just your basic blog URL (click on the title of your post for that URL). For good comment karma try to comment on the three blogs above your name!!

The Prompts:

1.) Describe what you would change about yourself if you could.

OH so many things...my nose is huge, too much cellulite, too many wrinkles, a big old tummy, let's not talk about my breasts. But you know what...there are great things about me too. I just can't think of any this early in the morning. Okay, okay. I'll try. My eyes change colors with my mood and can be strikingly beautiful. My hair is shiny and thick...thank you very much multiple pregnancies. I have the cutest feet because they are so tiny....um, don't look now because you wont believe me.

2.) Book Review! What children’s book do you hate reading to your child?

Just the really long ones.

3.) What do you predict will happen this decade? (You can be funny or serious if you like).

I hope to have a baby sometime this decade.

4.) Choose the 7th picture you took from last January and write a poem.

5.) Write about a heated argument you had with your parents (real or fictitious).

I better not. You might get the wrong idea. But I sure hope to read your arguments with your parents, so be sure to tell me you did this prompt.

----------------------------------------------------------

4.) Choose the 7th picture you took from last January and write a poem.

My little Millicent
Who taught you to dress?
My little Millicent,
You are the best.

You make us laugh
Each and every day,
But we scratch our heads
And wonder what to say.

You are as cute as a bug,
As sweet as a tree.
It's almost your birthday,
And you won't be three.

This poem really stinks,
But not because of you.
So it's almost over.
Okay, fine, I'm through.

Yes, I should be published with my amazing skills.

Now to tell you about this picture. Millicent LOVES to dress herself. This was last year after Christmas when she got this robe and backpack. She found her favorite floppy hat and got dressed for the day. All of it. Together. You can see the panty hose in this picture...too bad we can't get a glimpse of what else she had on.

Grifyn is hogging the computer doing school work, but as soon as he's done, I'll hop on here and see if I can see what's wrong. A tutorial on twitterfeed is coming too LOL. Millicent is beautiful, she really is.

I don't know that I can be any help with the Amazon widget. I can't sign up as an associate in North Carolina, so I can't find out if you can go into your Amazon account and change it there. But if you build a new one, you can pick a smaller size. I was able to do that. You would have to go back and put in all the books you put into it.
