Works for Me Wednsday--Warts

I got to tell you, before I get into the magic of removing warts, my goal this morning was to put a picture of a wart up. So I googled wart images. Let me tell you. DON'T DO THAT. Oh GAG! You might think you would find a solitary wart on someone's finger. You would be wrong. VERY! (OH gross!) VERY wrong.

I don't want to tell you what I saw because I'm going to have nightmares and I don't want to make you share in my misery. Oh, who am I kidding? I know you are going to look up that image. But I have to be honest. At first I wasn't exactly sure what it was that I was seeing. So I clicked on the source. Big mistake. Don't do that. But since I've already gone there I might as well tell you about it. Maybe you'll decide that the image just isn't worth it.

So I clicked on the source. Sure enough. It took me to a site that sells genital wart remover. I scrolled down to make sure that the image I saw was actually what I thought it was. (IT WAS! OH GAG!) But an even more horrific image assaulted me. A little, tiny girl with genital warts...well not the whole girl, thankfully, just her parts.

My first thought was...HOW did this tiny little girl get genital warts?

My second thought was...surely you can not clear up genital warts with this over the counter remedy. NO WAY!

So enough of that...even if I cant get the images out of my mind, I will stop talking about it now.

On to the WFMW post.

One day I had a wart. On my knee. And somewhere else. But the thought of genital warts has completely blown my memory of a regular wart from my mind. I don't particularly like warts (especially genital warts, which I've never had). So when I was complaining to my mother in law she told that her mom used to use pennies to clear up warts. Use the penny once and throw it away.

I figured it couldn't hurt. But the frugal me couldn't allow me to waste the penny. And anyhow, that sounded like an old wives's tale. (Like rubbing a penny on a wart didn't?)

So I started rubbing the penny on my wart whenever I thought about it. Not every morning or night, or at 3:00 every day. Just whenever.

Sure enough. It cleared up in a few weeks. WOW! Who woulda thunk.

I think it's the copper. But what do I know? Just that it works.

And speaking of thinking...why did I ever click on that link?

Well, I'm quite sure I won't be googling warts or clicking on any links. Your description is enough to deter me from any of that today. I'm having a hard enough time keeping my breakfast down, thank you very much.

Thanks for the tip though, might have to save those pennies for a warty day now!

Thank you so much for the tip to NEVER google that! So cool that a penny worked. I have heard of duct tape working but not that.
