Earth Mama Angel Baby giveaway

I've got a lovely giveaway today. I've been pumped to do this. Earth Mama Angel Baby sent me some products to try before I went to camp, but I didn't have a chance to run the contest until now.

So let me review the products for you, then get to the giveaway.

I had seen this company and looked at their products, but hadn't ordered anything yet. I was so excited when they sent me some stuff to try. Their boxes came stamped with Special Delivery on it. How sweet. Plus they have these angel women as their motif. Very cute!

The first product I tried was the Happy Mama spray. The instructions say to spray it on your wrist and inhale. It's suppose to help with morning sickness. Well I found those instructions a little awkward. I tried it on my way to church, but my wrist got tired. Boohoo, huh. But seriously, that's not really convenient. I found it was better to spray it on like perfume. It has an amazing smell. Did it cure my nausea? I'm not sure, but it did take my mind off it. You can also spray it on your pillow at night to help you sleep. I didn't try that. I'm always afraid of messing with my sleep. I did love the spray though and it was very calming. I don't wear perfume anymore because I don't want to hurt the children's sensitive noses, but this can be worn as perfume any time. It's completely natural. The smell tends to evaporate over time so if you spray too much you don't have to worry about it.

The other product I tried for nausea REALLY worked. It's Morning Wellness Tea. We love tea in our house. We get on kicks and drink it every night. I, personally, love lactation tea but Ashlea and Jeff barely like the smell. This was a better version of the lactation tea. I tried it one night when I was barely hanging on to my supper and unable to sleep. Literally within minutes of smelling it I was feeling better. After I drank it I went to sleep in mere minutes. Not only did it make my stomach feel better but it helped me drift off to sleep. I LOVE this tea. I put a spoonful of raw, organic honey with it but you could easily drink it without any. This stuff is fabulous!

All their products are natural and have none of the yuckies. Us hippies love organic products.

So on to the giveaway. Earth Mama, Angel Baby has a bottle of Happy Mama spray to giveaway to one lucky reader. You'll love the smell of this spray.

Here is the first, and most important way, to be entered:

Pick some personal care products that you currently use for yourself or your children. (I use almost all organic products but some of mine were higher than I thought.)

Go to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics website.

Enter your products and get a score.

Once you have your score (which really wont take very long at all) answer these questions:
  1. What was your Skin Deep toxicity rating score?
  2. How did you feel about your score and/or ingredients?
  3. Were you surprised at how high the toxin score is for any products labeled "natural" or "organic" ?

According to Earth Mama, "Most women are truly shocked at the toxin scores of the pregnancy or baby products they thought were safe. All Earth Mama Angel Baby products are rated 0 (lowest possible rating). Also, all Earth Mama Angel Baby products are toxin-free and contain no artificial ingredients. Just pure, natural products for pure, natural mamas and babies! As Gold Members, and one of the earliest compact signers, Earth Mama Angel Baby® is fully compliant with all levels of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. We are one of only 6% of compact signers who can make that claim. At Earth Mama Angel Baby, we are just as serious about taking care of the Earth and her resources as we are about taking care of mamas and babies."

So there you have it.

For one additional entry, blog or twitter about this giveaway.

For another extra entry, give us a pregnancy update.

If you are trying to conceive, give us an update with that. I know for sure two ladies who told me they are waiting to test and I haven't heard back from them. SO dish!!

For two additional entries (for a total of five entries) give us a pregnancy picture. (YOU MUST take pictures of your pregnancy. Because I said so, that's why.) If you are trying to conceive tell me how many tests you took during your last cycle.

Drawing to be held next Wednesday.

I apologize for the font and color differences...I'm just not good with html and I can't get it fixed.

Well, I like a lot of the JASON products. The ones I use all scored between 3 and 6. It honestly doesn't surprise me, because a lot of "natural/organic" products have things in them that aren't so natural or organic. You might be surprised how many of them have parabens or sulfates in them - something I find to be a basic no-no.

I <3 these products. I have the nursing tea. I wished I'd bought the csection kit they have, but of course I didn't see it til weeks after Kevin was born.

I have been to this site before and adjusted accordingly so I was not that surprised. I was glad to see I am still where I want to, nothing over 3 for the babies. One of my body washes is a 5 so I was surprised by that and will make a change. I have used Earth Mama Angel products before and usually order some if I am buying other products, diapers, nursing bras etc. I usually buy my Body wash from Frontier and they dont' carry Earth Mama. So tell them to try and get added to Frontier:)

The Skin Toxicity score for my current lotion was an 8, yikes! In my area it's hard to find products without parabens and other unpleasant ingredients, I think I'd have better luck with natural or organics products if I could find them.

Most scored about a 5. I was shocked not at the regular products but the "all natural" ones. They shouldadvertise "all natural toxins"
