So Bzzz sent me a razor to try out. I decided to try a little experiment. Bic Soleil Bella against Venus Embrace.
I started by snapping a picture of my unshaved legs after two weeks of not shaving, okay, okay, three weeks. So I'm a little hairy. I'm pregnant and I was still wearing pants.
After snapping pictures I shaved with both razors. Left leg was my Bzzz razor, Bic Soleil. Right leg Venus Embrace.
Day one: VERY smooth on both legs.
I actually preferred the Bic Soleil disposable and kept thinking what a great job it was doing, thinking it was the reusable one (the Venus). I was quite surprised to find it wasn't. I didn't like the swivel head on the Venus, mostly. But it also didn't glide as well as the Bic.
Day 2: Still smooth with slight stubble on both legs.
Right leg is slightly more stubby though, but I can see I missed some spots/they didn't get cut all the way (what do you expect with four weeks of hair growth?), making it feel more stubby, when really its just half grown hair instead of stubble. Confused yet?
Day 3: Still pretty smooth. You can see slight regrowth but not much. Mostly missed hairs. As I tried to mention earlier and just managed to confuse you, myself and the dog. Okay, so I don't have a dog. But I need one. Not for confusing though because our pets live outside. Just for having because dogs are nice.
A week later (sorry no picture)...hair growth not bad. I know everyones hair grows at different rates and have different coarseness's (is that right?)...but I could easily shave once a week with this razor.
Now to really put it to the test. I started shaving every day with both razors to see how long they would still give me a close shave.
Each leg has been shaved several additional times (but I lost count, forgive me)...starting with a VERY hairy leg. And each underarm thrice.
Still getting smooth legs from both razors.
So the true test. I gave Jeff the Bic razor and told him to completely shave his head with it...he took it a step further and shaved his entire face as well. What a sweetie, all in the name of science. He said it worked great in the beginning but like all razors started clogging up. (Why didn't I take a picture? I love pictures of my handsome husband.)
Then, as gross as this is, I used it again. Head to head with the Venus. Still a close shave. Unbelievable. I seriously expected cuts and scrapes and some stubble, but I got none of it.
This is my new favorite razor. Even though it's a disposable it will last a really long time...and I'll only have to shave once a week with it, making it last even longer.
Now for the giveaway. I have three Bic Soleil Bella razors to give away. I can have three winners with this, or one person could take the pot. I'm good with words, I know.
