WFMW--Measuring on the wall

One of my favorite things about my house is that as soon as we moved here I started measuring everyone on the wall. This was before Asa and Millicent, and before our foster children. Jeff's sister and her family were here so I got them on there too.

I've been able to watch everyone's growth on the wall. Now we weigh them and put their weights up too.

It's so neat to look at the wall and see that my nephew, Mathan, was a tiny bit shorter at five than Kati was. Or that my nephew, Aidan, and Millicent were the exact same size at three. It's fun to see Kati and Kori are almost always the same size at the same age.

I remember growing up my Papa marked our heights on their garage wall. It was so special to me. My aunt marked them on a doorway. Now we just found a smallish wall and use it. What would we do if we moved? I don't know. But that wall is special to me and all the kids who have ever been marked on it. They LOVE to see how much they've grown and how they compare to everyone else.

What about you? Do you have a wall for measuring? What would you do if you had to move?

Don't forget my giveaway....it's still open until I get around to drawing a winner later today. SpongeBob

We don't have a measuring wall but I do like yours. I want to start one after we move next time.

btw, I do find myself yelling at Baby Story lots of times. I sometimes watch Maternity Ward, but it makes me cry too much.

thanks for entering my giveaway!

I was afraid we would have to move, so I bought a neat thing at my local craft store and we measure on it... I painted it and made it fit my family. :) It is adorable if i dont say so myself!

When I was growing up my parents measured our heights on a doorframe. It's so neat to see it today...and it even has my kids on it now too. Very special!

cut out the piece of wall, then drywall over the hole & paint the small wall : )

I don't measure.
Measurements are well... you saw my facebook right?
I don't keep track. They keep getting bigger, I take pictures, that is enough for me : )
