Money Saving Monday

As you may have noticed, many of the blogs I frequently visit are about saving money. So why then, would anyone need another post about saving money when they can look at any of those other fantastic, wonderful, money saving blogs? Well I'm better. NO just kidding. I have a little bit of a different perspective I think. I think some of the things I'm going to list are a little different than what I've been reading...a little out there.

Some ways I save money (and you can too):

1. Use cloth diapers. These ain't your mama's diapers....we've come a long a way BABY! Seriously. These are just as easy as disposables. And in the long run, much cheaper. In a future post I'll talk more about these.

2. Use cloth wipes. You can buy wash clothes at walmart (and get them wet with a wipes warmer) or you can cut T-shirts up or you can buy them all soft and fuzzy from a WAHM (like I did) or you can make your own or you can have a wonderful friend make them for you from flannel (like I did...thank you Kimb). Whatever you decide it will be much cheaper than buying a box of wipes.

3. Make everything from scratch. Do I need to say how much cheaper it is to make rice from a big bag of (even organic) than it is to buy those individual pouches? Not to mention how much better it is for you.

4. Use cloth napkins. My second favorite way to save money, behind cloth diapers. I'll talk more about this in a future post.

5. Use hand towels instead of paper towels.

6. The last tip I have for you is the most obvious way to save money in our current economy and oil crisis...STAY HOME. To read more about the oil crisis visit New Think.
