Writer's Workshop-NO! You can't take my daughter

The Prompts:
1.) Describe the worst diet you ever put yourself on.

2.) But teachers know everything!! Write about a time a teacher disappointed you.

3.) …And then you panicked.

4.) Signs that your little one is just not that into you anymore.

5.) 10 reasons why you’re glad it’s Fall.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

 …And then you panicked.

You may be surprised to hear that I have been almost kidnapped at least twice, possibly three times. Yes, I'm serious.  One time was so scary my parents called the police.  I was a tiny, cute blond girl. Evidently we were in high demand on the black market. Or there were a lot of creeps in the ghetto of Dallas.  I don't know.

So I am always extra careful to teach my children safety and stranger danger.

One day, when Ashlea was about 11, we were walking into Wal-mart together.  She was walking a little ahead of me as we walked into the doors.  Several feet in front of us was a man.  His pace quickened and he began running straight to Ashlea. He was staring at her.  He even reached his hand out.

HOLY COW!  My blood pressure immediately escalated.  I reached out for Ashlea, just as he....passed us by.  I have no idea what that dude was doing.  But I had to change my pants.

Ashlea, do you remember when this happened?  Tell us your version of it.

And that's writer's workshop for the day.  I put so much time and effort into it.  Whew, I'm wiped.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for The No-Cry Separation Anxiety book.  (Even older kids can benefit from this book.  AND it would make a great gift for a new mom.)
