Introducing: Jerusha Tebeth

Finally, a second to get you a picture. The truth of the matter is that at 5:00 in the morning, Jeff stuck the camera in a drawer and we couldn't find it. So there you have it.

Jerusha is pronounced Jer-oo-shu (short u sound). It means inheritance.

Tebeth is prounounced Ta (long a)-beth. It's Hebrew meaning goodness (an attribute of God) and is also December-January on the Jewish calendar.

She was born around 4:10. Weighs 7 1/2 lbs. 19 in long. (Biggest baby yet--told you!)

The birth went really well and we have no complaints. Well okay, I have complaints....like....that hurts! But other than that, no complaints.

She was born with her hand on her face and a knot in her cord.

Fantastically, wonderfully, blessedly she is nursing like a champ. Took right to it and has pretty much not stopped since. My milk needs to come in soon because she is starving.

Here is Asa attacking, I mean, kissing Jerusha (otherwise known as Ju-Ju by the little ones) for the bazillionth time today. Anyone know how to keep him away from her? He loves her so much...a little too much. But I guess it could be worse...he could not like her at all. Let's hope she survives his love. In fact, everyone loves her and all we hear is...Can I hold her now? Over and over and over by various children and teenagers. (Okay, so only one teenager.)

She is amazing, of course. Does not cry. Sleeps soundly. Eats. No troubles nursing at ALL. What a blessing. Yes, I am saying it again. Such a change from Millicent and Asa and all the troubles I had nursing them.
