No baby yet

courtesy of Beautifully Created

I thought an update was in order so no one would think I had given birth. No worries, I haven't.

I was sure feeling antsy and ready to go the last week and especially the last few days.

I often take long baths, and while I am bathing/soaking/relaxing/escaping from my children (uh-hum) I pray. So yesterday I was just praying and asking God to give me peace and help my body to relax. I know the baby will come in God's timing. (You've heard this before!)

So later that day, I go to take a nap and MUCUS PLUG! I was ecstatic. See, to me (because that is what always happens for me) that means that in about a week I will go into labor. THAT helps. Just knowing that all this work my body is doing is leading up to that birth in about a week. I know that may sound weird to some of you...while many others will completely understand. It just HELPED.

So I took my nap, excited knowing that I could potentially have this baby on the 10th, which fits our birthday pattern. YEAH! Afterwards, I just wanted to be alone and relaxed wherever it was quiet.

SO I found a room and watched some ER on the computer, then read in the living room for a while. It was great.

Last night I slept well with NO aches and pains.

Usually at night I sound like a dying elephant. I have to huff and puff to get out of bed to go the bathroom, pretty much hourly. It hurts to get turned over and it hurts to get out of bed and it hurts to walk to the bathroom. My pelvis is all loose and my sacrum is hurting. You feel me. If you are pregnant you know exactly what I mean. Not last night though. No pains. It was wonderful.

So here I am. Waiting patiently, once again. Comfortable. Little to no contractions. Knowing that soon I will have a baby.

Thanks for checking on me!

Oh to have a night of sleep where I can actually turn over without all the pain! It is getting worse for me, I have been trying to clean everything in the house this week, but today I am just going to give up and sit, because my hips and pelvic bones and back are killing me.
Good to hear you are making progress, keep us posted!

hooray for progress! i'm very excited for you! =)
black kohosh is great for progress too. i don't think it helps so much to jump start you as to make the work your body is already doing more effective.

can't wait to see pics of your newest little one!

How exciting! I'd have 100 if I could handle them - which I cannot - so when you're laboring a way, just imagine all the mom's out there who are missing the whole experience (well, not really delivery - but the rest of it). You are one blessed, lucky mama! I tell my sons I gave them the best 9 months of their lives - they'll never have another 9 months like that - LOL

I'll be praying for you and your joyous occasion!

I know you are so ready. The last four weeks is always the toughest. Ready for the baby to be here already. Ready not to have to pee every 15 minutes. Ready to just experience the JOY already!

I hope your delivery goes just like you want it to!!!

Good thing you posted! I was about to comment on the previous post and ask how everything went, I was that sure you'd had the baby!

Is it silly of me to tell you to keep up the good work? Because you're doing great!

Good luck in the next week or so!
